About Access Capital Advisers
Access Capital Advisers has over 14 years of experience as a leader in specialist alternative asset advice and management. We focus on portfolios of alternative assets comprising investments in infrastructure, property, private equity, private debt and natural resources. For full service clients, we focus on constructing portfolios that deliver superior long term risk adjusted returns. Our clients are a select group of institutional investors from amongst government, corporate and industry investors.
With five offices across three continents, Access Capital Advisers is the world’s 7th largest infrastructure manager[1] and has:
- Over $12 billion in total assets under management;
- Over $6 billion in alternative assets under management across all of our strategies; and
- Over $3 billion globally invested in infrastructure assets.[2]
We currently have direct investments for our clients in over 35 major established infrastructure assets in addition to a very significant indirect exposure to a greater number of assets through funds.
We have delivered exceptional returns for clients. Since August 1997, both our global portfolio of alternative assets and our global portfolio of infrastructure assets have significantly outperformed domestic and global equities.
We integrate the strategic counsel of a specialist investment adviser with the execution and management of an asset manager to provide clients with customised advice and investment solutions on their alternative asset portfolios.
Our investment approach substantially involves purchasing a direct[3] exposure to alternative assets. This is complemented for some clients with indirect[4] holdings. Investing well is only part of where we add value to client portfolios because it is our active participation in the governance of the assets where we add value on an on-going basis.
We are an independent firm, owned by a leadership team who, on average, have nearly 18 years relevant experience. The firm’s 70 staff[5] located in London, New York, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra have unrivalled expertise across the skill set required for advising and managing alternative asset portfolios, including; company management, investment management and advisory, deal execution, investment banking, and asset management. This breadth of skills and experience gives the firm a distinct advantage over competitors in identifying and realising untapped value in assets.
